July 24, 2018Curtis E. Flatt, of Birmingham, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2018, at the age of 96.  He was a faithful preacher of the Gospel for 70 years, serving in various capacities in the ministry. Mr. Flatt was a combat veteran of WWII in Europe.He is survived by his daughter, Candace Heard (C.B.); two grandchildren, Barry Heard and Charlie Heard (Katy); and one great-granddaughter, Lillian Cherry.The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m., Saturday, July 28, 2018, at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home on Highway 150 in Hoover. Service will follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel, with Jeremy Dehut and Dwight Edwards officiating.
